About Us

The DeVoe L. Moore Center is a public policy interdisciplinary unit in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy at Florida State University that is dedicated to increasing knowledge and public understanding about the role of government in a market economy.

The Center emphasizes the study of how government rules, regulations, and programs affect the economy and individuals. Bringing the insights of economics, political science, and public administration to the study of state and local regulations is a major focus of the Center's efforts.

The Data Analytics Group (DAG) is a student-led team that acquires, cleans, stores, and visualizes data to improve government transparency by making data more accessible to the public. On this website, we host data on all aspects of the K-12 education system in Florida and make it readily available through data visualizations. All data comes from the Florida Department of Education directly. We also include State and Local Payroll data that were created by members from past years.
